Good morning. I was wondering if anyone else has had similar problems. Bought my Passat a few months ago. When parked on a flatish surface (only a slight pitch) the handbrake tends to disengage prematurely before I have reached the bite point in the clutch, causing the car to roll back slightly. This caused me to roll into a bollard the other day.
unplug the battery for 10 minutes then plug it again then press the breaks for 35 seconds. after that, while pressing the breaks press the e-breaks for 10 seconds.. ( ( i think these are the right times )) then the cars computer will restart and the problem will be fixed !!

Follow the power path with a meter or test light. Verify power and ground at the bulb socket. If you've got both, check the bulb for continuity. If you're missing power or ground, follow that path back to the source and find where the circuit is open. Schematics would help you trace those paths.
