Jan 10, 2010 · This can be a real issue. I spent about 2-3 hours of frustration. In the end the simple solution was to jack the back of the car up and put on axle stands (30cm or 12 inches), this gets the clutch slave cylinder above the master cylinder. Bleeding the system then took about 10-15 minutes. Cheers from NZ.
Aug 20, 2011 · New brake fluid will boil at circa 250C. A boiling point below 180C will give them an alert; one below 150C will get them to renew the fluid. Jul 16, 2004 · 3. unscrew the brass plate that is holding the cable to the car. under bonnet: 1. unscrew other end off clutch cable. 2. go back inside off car and pull the cable out. too put it back in, just reverse the process, i will double check today, just in case i have missed something or got anything wrong.
May 15, 2009 · What age is the car, and what type of box does it have (manual or a secta/speedgear/autobox) £950 seems very expensive. Personally i wouldn't pay anything more than £200 for a gearbox, then you're looking at around £50 for the clutch. This means they are charging you £700 in labour, which is taking the pee a bit.
